Canadian power-poppers Sloan are the latest guests in the A.V. Club's round room for an episode of A.V. Undercover, turning Gary Numan's seminal "Cars" into a stone crusher. This is a song that is pretty hard to cover, but Sloan transform this into something like a long-lost Foghat song, like it's always been suitable for inclusion on the Dazed and Confused soundtrack. Sloan complain at the opening about there being very few songs left, but when you can do something like this, the song choice hardly matters. Great stuff. [AV Club]
