There are a lot of things going on at once in New York electronic artist Gary War’s new track “Sirens,” so much so that it leads to a slightly disorienting first listen. The song catapults out of the gate, as if every keyboard in a music store had been turned on and all the way up at once. The vocals are buried under all of the chaos, but still manage to be tuneful and moody in equal measure. Give it a listen over at Stereogum.

Gary War’s Police Water EP is available now through Sacred Bones. A split live album with Zola Jesus is due out soon.
