Sic Alps: Sic Alps: "Do You Want To Give $$?"
What ever happened to Matt Hartman and Mike Donovan's noisy garage-pop outfit, Sic Alps? The duo had a prolific 2008, releasing two very awesome full lengths -- U.S. Ez and A Long Way Around To A Shortcut -- and then a much slower 2009, with the notably cleaned-up 7-inch L. Mansion. Alas, 2010 saw no new Sic Alps recordings. Well, fear not: 2011 will find the band releasing Napa Asylum, a brand-new full length. And this month, no less! (It'll be out on Jan. 25, on Drag City.) Judging by the fuzzed-out swagger of "Do You Want To Give $$?," the album's fifth track, the duo is back, in full force. Listen: "Do You Want To Give $$?" [Pitchfork]
