We already heard a version of Royksopp’s “Shores of Easy” when the band appeared on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic earlier this year. It’s not clear yet whether this is part of a new record by the band or just a track being floated out onto the Internet in isolation—it’s “not indicative of things to come” according to a note on the Royksopp website. Both high and low quality versions of the song are available to download for free from that same link. “We feel that this could serve as a perfect soundtrack to that borderline state between being awake and being asleep – the state where everything seems possible,” they write. It’s certainly a placid groove, which gradually builds as the song unfolds over a near 14-minute runtime.
