“Shadowcasting” (Live On Fallon) (Video)

Has there ever been a less riotous band than Ra Ra Riot? The group performed on Jimmy Fallon last night, complete with glasses, stripy sweaters, a violin and a cello. It may be the most polite performance on late night television all year, and the music matched the enfeebled nature of the band—“Shadowcasting” is all delicate guitar lines and straining vocals, which combine to make a song so dainty that you feel like the members of Ra Ra Riot are going to apologize for it afterwards.
