'Serge Gainsbourg (vie héroïque)' Gets NSFW Trailer

The first full trailer for Joann Sfar’s biopic Serge Gainsbourg (vie héroïque) launched yesterday, and—what a shocker—there’s a naked chick in the first twelve seconds. The French-language promo video's opening scene depicts the late musician’s childhood, in which he smokes liberally and sketches a nude model. Gainsbourg gets older as the trailer progresses, but one thing never changes: he always has a cigarette in one hand and a beautiful woman in the other. There are lieges of topless, interchangeable Lolita-esque (or, more appropriately, Melody Nelson-esque) girls, but Gainsbourg’s lovers and sometimes-collaborators Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot also feature prominently. Considering the French songwriter’s notoriety for perversion, it's safe to expect some XXX content from this film. But we'll also get glimpses into Gainsbourg's endeavors in jazz, reggae, and rock music, his political life, and his family. No word yet on a U.S. release, but if you feel like flying Air France, Gainsbourg debuts in Paris on Jan. 20.
