Screaming Females were, briefly after the release of their third album, Power Move, one of those bands destined to the next big thing, but for whatever reason it hasn't quite happened yet. Maybe it still will, and judging from the volume of material the young trio puts out it's entirely possible, but for now it's nice to enjoy songs like "Wild" as an unrestrained burst of emotion from the edge of the void. Which, of course, means New Jersey.
For this one, directors Biz R. Lynch and Trip McCool present a simple but distorted video for a simple but distorted relationship song. Singer Marissa Paternoster's voice is as strong and confident as a young Karen O's, and every member wails on their instrument with an energy that is, well, wild.
Castle Talk is out now.

There's something really awesomely '90s about this video.
