We already posted one late night musical performance from a former '90s hero struggling to maintain his grasp on the consciousness of music fans but failing miserably due to a tepid song cycle (see: Nick Neyland's post about Chris Cornell), but here's another: Scott Weiland performed on Kimmel on Friday, doing his best Bowie during his maudlin phase impersonation, performing "Paralysis" (above) and "Killing Me Sweetly" (below) from his "Happy" In Galoshes. Weiland's voice, like Cornell's, is a shell of what it once was, but at least Weiland decided to go dad rock instead of letting Timbaland ruin him forever.
"Happy" In Galoshes is out now.
did he sign China Girl too?
Bowie
Actually, I think Cornell's spectacular failure is more interesting than Weiland's middling resignation.
