The series of clips offering a glimpse at purchases made by musicians at Amoeba Records often provides fascinating insight into their tastes. But the store also stages many performances, and the Scissor Sisters recently stopped by there to deliver this version of “Whole New Way.” It’s odd to see Jake Shears and his crew cramped on the tiny stage and having to refine their movements, but the lightly agitated groove of “Whole New Way” still comes across as an infectious piece of pop from a band that can pump this stuff out effortlessly.
