Jake Shears and his Scissor Sisters are set to open for Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden this Monday (Feb. 21), which feels like a summit meeting of sorts for two of the most inspired pop talents to emerge in the past decade. Scissor Sisters are still touring off the back of their Night Work album, and they performed “Running Out” from it last night (Feb. 17) on David Letterman’s show. This track is slightly more rock oriented than most of the songs in the band’s oeuvre, so Shears hams it up in an all-leather outfit to celebrate, and generally looks like one of the happiest men to appear on the late night TV talk show circuit this year.
