Scissor Sisters performed “Any Which Way” with popstress Kylie Minogue when they appeared at Glastonbury back in June (see clip below). Minogue doesn’t make an appearance in this video for the track, which is a shame as it’s a perfect fit for her sleek and well refined 21st century pop diva act.
Jake Shears croons in his wonderful falsetto throughout while producer Stuart Price delves deep into his box of Giorgio Moroder-esque synth backings and adds some meaty funk bass slaps for good measure. It’s a euphoric, unashamedly retro glance back to disco that proves to be completely irresistible despite its derivative nature.
