School of Seven Bells: "Windstorm"

"Windstorm," the first single from School of Seven Bells' sophomore album, Disconnect from Desire, sort of doubles down on the tics that could put off new listeners: there's the airy vocals, the abstract lyrics and the trippy instrumentation. That said, this is the best track the trio of the Deheza sisters and Benjamin Curtis have ever cooked up, which bodes well for the rest of Desire, which is due out on July 13 via Vagrant/Ghostly International. You can listen over at Pitchfork.
