School of Seven Bells dropped by the KDHX studios recently to perform this version of “Windstorm” from Disconnect from Desire. The band has never really escaped from its influences and this track isn’t going to change that—think of acoustic My Bloody Valentine songs like “Cigarette in Your Bed” and you’re already close to grasping how “Windstorm” sounds. But they do a reasonably affecting job of delivering the track here, especially when some gentle keyboard textures work their way into the song at the midway point.
