School of Seven Bells- comprised of former Secret Machines guitarist Ben Curtis and Alejandra and Claudia Deheza of On!Air!Library!- made their U.S. recorded debut on “School of Seven Bells,” the only track that was any good from that Prefuse 73 album last year, Preparations.
Nearly a year has passed since then, and the band have been busy cutting tracks for their debut album, Alpinisims (due out in October via Ghostly), including this airy track titled “Half Asleep.” It’s clear Curtis still favors hazy psychedelia, and the Deheza twins lend some ethereal vocals to the track’s dissonance.
Alpinisms is due out on October 28 via Ghostly. [Stereogum]
