“Say Wassup” F. Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul & ScHoolBoy Q (Video)

We heard from Jay Rock earlier this week when he released the remix to his latest single, “Hood Gon Love It,” featuring Rick Ross and (why?!) Birdman. And while that track showcased the Los Angeles spitter’s high-profile connections, he hasn’t forgotten about his partners in Black Hippy. The crew is made up of Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and ScHoolBoy Q, who all hail from the L.A. area and have released good-to-great projects this year. That especially goes for Lamar, whose Section.80 album is one of the best efforts I’ve heard in 2011. But I digress. Here, the Black Hippies perform “Say Wassup,” their posse cut off Rock’s forthcoming Follow Me Home album. It’s a pretty strong representation of just what these guys are all about, so sit back and enjoy. Who knows, you might (will!) have some new music to check out soon.

Follow Me Home drops July 26.
