Sam Flax: "Child Of Glass"

San Francisco psychedelic avant-pop newcomer Sam Flax has got it down. His hazy brand of experimental pop is both interesting and infectious, a feat that many bands try to accomplish but rarely do. Last month, we shared with you his first single and music video, "Fire Doesn't Burn Itself." Today, the Bay Area musician shared the second single off his upcoming debut release, Age Waves, due out September 17 on Burger Records in the U.S. and The Sound Of Sweet Nothing in UK.

Entitled "Child Of Glass," the song is a smooth, slow-burning composition that mixes elements of vibrant '80s pop with meandering shoegaze and tropical beats. It's a nice transitional tune as we move from summer to fall--hazy and relaxed.
