"Moonlight Dance" is a track from Sally Shapiro's newest offering, My Guilty Pleasure, due out next week on Paper Bag Records. Luckily, there's no need to feel the slightest twinge of guilt if you like "Moonlight Dance"; the track is one of the smartest pop moments on My Guilty Pleasure, thanks in no small part to Johan Agebjörn's immaculate production, buoying Shapiro's feather-light voice in just the right way, and filling out all the spaces in between. If nothing, Shapiro deserves your gratitude for releasing a song about dancing underneath the moon, that's fast enough to dance to comfortably (I'm looking at you King Harvest). [20Jazzfunkgreats]
