Sade: "I Would Have Never Guessed"
Aside from just housing the band's best material from the past 15 years or so, Sade's The Ultimate Collection contains four never-before-heard tracks. And over the past few weeks, their camp has released each one as an online stream. Last week, we heard the snarling "Love is Found," which showcased that Sade's still got some attitude after nearly 30 years in the business. But for "I Would Have Never Guessed," the band tones things down considerably. And it allows for Sade Adu's soothing, albeit slightly depressing, vocals to drift beautifully over a light piano line. I apologize beforehand if this track bums you out.
