Sade Adu and her band promoted the hell out of this track in April, by hitting nearly every live TV performanceopportunityavailable. As such, it was only inevitable a video for "Babyfather," off the platinum-plus Soldier of Love, would surface sooner rather than later. And the visuals essentially match the track's breezy, summery vibes, with the 51-year-old frontwoman looking ridiculous good and cooking up some Jell-o treats. Seriously, has she aged physically since debuting in the early '80s? Anyway, the dub/reggae sounds on here are a welcome change of pace from the darker, stark elements of Soldier of Love's eponymous lead single.
