Sadderdaze F. Ab-Soul (Prod. BrandUn DeShay)

With the sudden passing of Pro Era’s Capital STEEZ last year, many music critics and fans alike pointed their eyes in the direction of CJ Fly to carry on Pro Era’s torch as a worthwhile collective in the Hop Hop realm.  The pressure of every music group is to maintain a buzz both individually and as a unit.  Since Joey Badass still remains a powerful force, CJ Fly is well on his way to spread his wings and give a taste to Pro Era fans what he is capable to bring on the table by himself.  As is expected, CJ Fly’s new single off his solo debut Thee Way Eye See It isn’t seeking to steer away from the nostalgia rap that the Brooklyn collective has already crafted their style around.  As the title of his project hints at, CJ Fly gets introspective on “Sadderdaze.”  Fittingly, he is assisted by the same rapper who appeared on Joey Badass’s 2012 track “Enter the Void”: Ab-Soul.

Thee Way Eye See It is due out on October 14, 2013.  The album will feature vocals from the likes of Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Buckshot as well as production credits by Statik Selektah, BrandUn DeShay, Erick Arc Elliot [of Flatbush Zombies], Cookin Soul, and more.
