If you need more proof that Rock Band is not real rock (and real rock is not Rock Band), look at this absurd case of meta-musicianship. Backstage at the Colbert Report, Rush tried playing "Tom Sawyer," they're own freaking song, on expert level at Rock Band. They failed to complete the song.

 While the Rush did give the rights of the song to the game, the bandmates look noticeably annoyed and embarassed to be failing at their own song. They're obviously a lot better than that, but they just need real instruments. Then again, they may be better off just chasing the dragon.
