Roisin Murphy: "Orally Fixated" (Stream)

One day someone will write a song called "Anal Fixation," just because oral fixations are a pretty worn out trope in pop music. Roisin Muprhy seems like exactly the type of artist who would oblige that particular impulse, but if she will, this isn't the single for it.

"Orally Fixated" is the new single from Murphy, due out Nov. 16 and 17th and the UK and US respectively, from AWAL. Also, if you don't want to pay for it, The Guardian will offer the track for free download for two days.

The presently pregnant Murphy recently announced plans to release more EPs in the short run, so maybe "Orally Fixated" and three other singles she's reportedly working on will appear on one of those some time soon. The glitchy, sped-up, Mr. Oizo-ish house of "Orally Fixated" is definitely something that pop fans could use more of.
