After hearing a sample of the track earlier this week, we now have the complete and final version of Rihanna and Jay-Z's latest collaboration. It's the title-track off the former's upcoming new album, Talk That Talk, and as their previous collaborations have proven, it's clear that we'll be hearing "Talk That Talk" all over the damn place. Seriously, they could make the biggest dud ever and it would still probably get decent radio play.
As for the track itself, it's reasonably catchy, of course, even if the drums are slightly tinny and the video game-ish synthesizers are an, um, interesting choice. The one instant downside, though, is that the overall air of the production is like a carbon-copy of Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow." That makes sense given the same production team, StarGate, also produced "Talk That Talk," but that doesn't mean it's not disappointing. You can stream it below. The album drops Nov. 21. [RR]
