If 2010 wasn't the year of Rick Ross, then 2011 very well will be. He has another solo album in the works, God Forgives, I Don't, and his Maybach Music Group imprint is dropping its first compilation, Self Made, next month. And on top of that, Ross is still pushing last year's Ashes To Ashes mixtape. What's ridiculously smart about it all -- aside from getting his name out there even more -- is that he can use tracks like "Play Your Part," which now has a video, to further promote Self Made. The reason being that the Ashes To Ashes track features two of his recent MMG signees, Wale and Meek Mill, who will play a huge role on the imprint's compilation. Yeesh, talk about smart and effective marketing. I feel like Ross could teach a class on this shit.
Self Made drops May 24.
