With his sophomore effort dropping May 18, Rhymefest has gone the now customary route of dropping a prelude effort as a means of promotion. Dubbed Dangerous: 5-18, the mixtape features 17 new tracks from the Chicago MC whose El Che album has been anticipated since Blue Collar dropped in 2006. It's not that he has stayed off the scene during that time as he has released several tracks and mixtapes over the years. But it's tough to stay in the public eye, especially the mainstream, without a proper record. From what I've heard of El Che, it sounds like he's still just as fired up and hungry as he was in 2006. Just don't expect any help from Kanye West this time around.
