Six weeks in, and one of the more intriguing covers from A.V. Club's Undercover project is off the board: In this week's video, Retribution Gospel Choir (aka 2/3 of Low plus another dude) tackle Beach Boys' hated late-period single "Kokomo." Drummer Eric Pollard handles the vocals, while Alan Sparhawk does some drumming and some smiling backing vocals. It's kind of weird to see a band that is often about dark things doing a song as goofy as "Kokomo," but this sort of works. At least the A.V. Club's mailman dug it.
