Yair Yona is an Israeli acoustic guitar player who made a video project in which he plays the ten songs from his debut album, Remember, in ten different locations across his home town of Tel Aviv all in one day. This, the title and opening track, was shot and recorded at daybreak on the roof of a friend’s house, and it features his expertly mournful slide guitar and the gentle traffic sounds of the street below. This is what every morning should feel like.
If you’re a fan of guitar folk music like this, you should check out all the other nine performances via Yona’s YouTube channel. They’re pretty lovely.
Remember is out now.
