I'm not really sure what to make of this video for R.E.M.'s "Mine Smell Like Honey": They've always been sure to pack a lot of symbolism into their videos, and all that happens in this clip is that Michael Stipe gets passed over people who carry him up a staircase. And I'm not sure what the "mine" is in the title, thought I it might be Stipe's pits, since he's putting those in people's faces here. Basically the headline here is: R.E.M. are as weird as ever. And Michael Stipe looks like a professor now.
