R.E.M.: Fall on Me w/ Johnny Marr (Video)

One of the secondary benefits of Modest Mouse touring with R.E.M. is that Johnny Marr finally gets to hang out with people his age. At the United Center in Chicago last Friday, the former Smiths guitarist joined the recent Rock Hall inductees for a performance of "Fall on Me," the single off R.E.M.'s 1986 album Life's Rich Pageant.

Consider that that album came out barely a month after The Queen is Dead, and you'll realize that Marr and R.E.M. have slightly more in common than Marr and Isaac Brock, who was 11 in 1986. Nonetheless, the bands continues their tour together (along with The National for good measure) with the following dates left:

06-13 Boston, MA - Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts
06-14 Long Island, NY - Jones Beach Theater
06-18 Philadelphia, PA - Mann Center for the Performing Arts
06-19 New York, NY - Madison Square Garden

06-21 Atlanta, GA - Lakewood Amphitheatre
