Regina Spektor: "Blue Lips" (Live on Jools Holland) (Video)

Regina Spektor is attempting to match the success of her crossover hit, Begin to Hope, and to that end, she performed "Blue Lips," the first single from her upcoming fifth album, Far, on Jools Holland.The song has a somber, barren feel, as Spektor is accompanied only by a hardly playing string quartet and her piano melodies. I'm not sure how this song will bode for the rest of Far, but I'm betting not all of the tracks are like this, given that she's got producers like Jacknife Lee, Mike Elizondo, David Kahne, and ELO's Jeff Lynne on the album. 

Far is due out on June 22 via Sire. [Culture Bully]
