Real Estate seem to have realized that they have a good thing going, which may explain why new track "Out Of Tune" isn't all that different from the material that appeeared on their debut album that came out earlier this year. Sure, the production is a little bit cleaner, and features synth work from Oneohtrix Point Never's Daniel Lopatin, but the track doesn't really stray from the strain of hazy, humid indie pop that they made their name on. This, of course, isn't a bad thing. Their pleasantly chiming guitars and lightly played drums make a lot more sense as summer drags on through its last month. Give it a listen below.
The Out Of Tune single is due out on Oct. 12 via True Panther.
I'll give them until the next long play before they need to change anything, for now, the style consistently pleases me
Yeah, this is excellent. Definitely shades of the Sea & Cake in there, but that's no bad thing.
For some reason, I didn't get around to listening to their first album until really recently. Wish I'd checked it out sooner.
Agreed. Nice stuff.
