Despite the anticipation, the new (first-time legit) Re-Up Gang record (Clipse Presents: The Re Up-Gang) is kind of weak. “Fast Life” is about all that’s really hot from that album. Makes you wonder why this track, “Celebrate” ft. Joss Stone, didn’t make the cut.
“Celebrate” finds the brothers Thornton and their sidemen Ab-Liva and Sandman in top party mode (“It’s a celebration, bitches” is the chorus), and Stone makes the Re-Up Gang more palatable to the Top 40 set (not that’s always a good thing, here it is).
Clipse’s Till the Casket Drops is still slated for a release later this year, but that remains to be seen.
