Ray Lamontagne's "You Are the Best Thing" has a effortless Motown vibe, like it was originally a Smokey Robinson song. Considering that's what Lamontagne has been doing since the jump it shouldn't be much of surprise, but somehow it's still surprising he's able to do it so effectively. Lamontagne took the song on to Letterman on Wednesday with a full complement of backing singers, and delivered an endearing performance.
