This remix by current "2009 independent music news cycle" dominators Animal Collective takes Ratatat's original cut "Mirando" and removes it's easy going tropic feel in exchange for ambient euphoria and electro-tribalism. Also, this remix comes with the good news that Deakin is still an active member of Animal Collective, as apparently he is the remixer of this track. Still, a ten minute remix doesn't quite explain his absence on Merriweather Post Pavilion. [GVB]
