Rah Digga's recently released sophomore album, Classic, was a long time coming. Amidst label issues and leaving the Flipmode Squad on good terms, she saw her planned second record get pushed back nearly a decade until finally finding a home on rapper-producer Nottz's Raw Koncept imprint. Their collaboration went beyond mere business partners as he went on to produce the entirety of Classic, with resulting tracks such as the title-track boasting neck-shattering beats. The rest of the record might be kind of repetitive at times, but when it hits, it hits. And I'm digging Digga's placement in Court Dunn's One Shot series for "Classic," which is the visual definition of simple but effective.
Classic is in stores now.
