Raekwon: "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang"
Everyone craving the latest music off Raekwon's forthcoming Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang has had their prayers answered here with the leak of the album's title-track. This one is also for anyone who doubted that he could deliver another great record after 2009's nearly perfect Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...Pt. II. That's because it's not just that we have new music from the Chef. We have dope-as-all-get-out new music from the Chef. Amongst scattered kung fu film samples, the Wu member goes in over a series of haunting strings and bass-heavy drums. He sounds as hungry as ever on "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang," which leaves us wishing that March wasn't so far away.
