Raekwon, who just announced a tour of Canada, might not have completely knocked it out of the park on his new mixtape, Unexpected Victory. But when he and his guests were on, man were they on. Take "Just a Toast," for example, which features JD Era, who's on Rae's ICE H20 label.
Together, they spit shoulder-brushing gangster raps over a celebratory, organs-drenched production that sets the stage for the track's visuals. This is nothing especially creative or new -- I mean, how many times have we seen our favorite rappers rockin' tuxes with ladies by their side? -- but that doesn't prevent it from totally working, because it does.
