Raekwon: "Da Barry Sistas" f. Tommy Nova
At this point, Raekwon deserves a vacation. After dropping arguably the best rap album of 2009, the Chef turned around immediately and released Wu-Massacre with Ghostface and Method Man this year. He also dropped some guest spots for 20 or so tracks in 2010 including more recent contributions to Kanye's epic My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and a remix of "Michael Knight" off of Curren$y's Pilot Talk 2. Apparently, Rae ain't looking to take a break anytime soon as he recorded this track for Rap Radar's Mixtape of the Year, which is due out Dec. 21.
The first leak from RR's stocking stuffer is "Da Barry Sisters" featuring Bronx rapper Tommy Nova. With an eriee sample of a howling lady, Rae bring brief tales of the streets with his usual lyrical precision, making the young Nova seem like the novice he is. It's not the most memorable Raekwon track but will keep your interest until the mixtape drops.
