Reckoner (Salem Remix) [MP3]

It now seems ages ago that Radiohead released the stems for In Rainbows track Reckoner in their populist remix experiment, but now is when we have this entry from the formidable and mysterious Salem. The group lends the original their, dare I say, goth-crunk sensibilities, and the song ends up being a great deal brighter and shinier than any Salem track this writer has heard. The remix doesn't really use Yorke's vocals for any kind of verbal content, so much as just another texture on the song's musical patchwork. This track glitters, but it's under something wet and dark. [Gorillavsbear]

Yawn. I should have listened to this last night when I had trouble falling asleep. Now it's the morning and I want to go back to bed when I'm supposed to be getting ready for work. Thanks a lot, Salem.

Thanks to radiohead for giving the music industry
the middle finger!
i love this mix for some reason it's reminding me of
early 90's mancehester.
also digging this indietronica band from NY called Nite Club
seems to be influenced by this era.
