Radiohead: House of Cards (Conan O'Brien)

Radiohead treated Conan O’Brien viewers to a performance of “House of Cards” off their still awesome album In Rainbows on Wednesday. Instead of the standard show up and schmooze with the host, the band opted to stay at their studio and tape a performance, since the show was Conan’s green show, and it was more eco-concious for the band to stay in England.

The whole thing is pretty subdued, but then again, so is the song.

Subdued yes, but as it should've been. No crowd noise, no distractions, no schmooze, just the one the sexiest songs by way of Radiohead (I've never found Radiohead particulary sexy) speaking loud and subtle and clear.

One of my favorite tracks off the record. But this live performance didn't bring anything new or fresh...sounded exactly how it does on the album -which isn't such a terrible thing.

I saved Earth Energy by turning off my TV when this came on.
