Q-Tip, The Roots: "Sucka N*gga" (Live in Miami) (Video)

As if you already didn't have a reason to check out the Hennessy Artistry Tour, we now have even more footage to make you jealous if there's not a stop in your city. Previously, we saw Q-Tip and The Roots tackle NWA's "Straight Outta Compton," just as The Roots had done a few months ago with some help from Ice Cube. For the Hennessy tour's Miami date, the Abstract and Legendary linked up again. But this time it was for a rendition of "Sucka N*gga," the fifth track off A Tribe Called Quest's classic Midnight Marauders. The video is crystal clear here but unfortunately the audio gets a little iffy at times. You can still get the gist of it, though, and further understand just how damn good The Roots are at playing whatever song is thrown at them.

ditto to the point about how the group can pick up a variety of songs. wonder if they have a fakebook?

I wouldn't doubt it! Although, they do practice/play together so often that they probably can do all this blindfolded.
