We mentioned last week that Prince had become suddenly enamored with Lopez Tonight. Dude also seems to really like The View. In fact, he likes Lopez so much that his usual embargo on any of his material seeping out online has been temporarily lifted, as he presumably approved of this upload, which includes the Purple Rain track "The Beautiful Ones," plus the new songs “You’re the One For Me” and "Laydown." This performance comes just as Prince is beginning his 21-night run of shows in Los Angeles, and while it’s far from his best it’s clear that those concerts are going to be pretty spectacular judging from the tightness of his band and the theatrics on display here. Plus, his longtime cohort Sheila E gets to sing a few lines.
