Tavis Smiley has scooped an exclusive interview with Prince for his PBS show, which is being aired in two parts on Monday and Tuesday this week. The notoriously media shy singer is surprisingly candid in this set of clips from the interview, in which he speaks frankly about his battles with epilepsy and his problems being bullied at school.
Prince also offers his thoughts on the music business, revealing that his song “Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful” concerns his feelings about a particular music industry executive. He also makes a barbed comment about the internet being responsible for “no sales” of his albums, and says that he has no idea how many copies Purple Rain sold.
