Any self-respecting Polvo visual needs to focus on guitars, since the reunited math-rock O.G.s are, more than anything, about the power of the guitar. So in that respect, "Right the Relation" has a lot of guitar porn, but it also has a lady vomiting what looks like black licorice, rivers of sludge, and a general spookiness that fits Polvo well.
"Right the Relation" is on Polvo's splendid reunion album, In Prism, which is out now. [Pitchfork]
nice one, Polvo. some cool insight into the guitar parts. this could be my favorite record of 2009. incredibly strong throughout.
