The epic pastoral rock of Canada’s Plants and Animals is an unlikely addition to Pitchfork’s Don’t Look Down series (especially when most of the series has featured tropic-punk bands, great bar bands, and blog-hypes) but this video of the band performing the fiery “Faerie Dance” from their debut LP, Parc Avenue, is a good fit. Plants and Animals’ sound goes well with the images of New York in summer, but both make me feel like I should be sipping on a Blue Ribbon. To watch the rest of the set, click here.
