While it's true that PJ Harvey did not want for critical fawning in the early to mid-'90s, the British songstress has, perhaps more impressively, maintained dignified success since that bygone decade. What's more, she has managed consistently listenable, consistently surprising releases. Her eighth, Let England Shake, for Island, is due out Feb. 14. If you're wondering what to expect, know this: It was recorded in a church, and it features John Parish, who collaborated with Harvey on her last release, A Woman A Man Walked By.
