Pink Skull: "Oh Monorail" (MP3)

There's so many self-consciously stylistic dance-rock bands nowadays that it's pretty easy to confuse one for another, but Philadelphia's Pink Skull continues to shine just a little bit brighter than the rest. The Philadelphia quintet's third LP, Endless Bummer, is due out later this month, and advance track "Oh Monorail" is just a tad too slow to be obviously danceable. It still manges to be a piece of disco rock that's a higher quality than most of what else is out there. [20jazzfunkgreats]
