Pictureplane: Mtymx Rhinoceropolis Hype Package (MP3s)

Otherwise known as Pictureplane, Travis Egedy blogs about music and culture (from Keri Hilson to Joy Orbison to early '90s Pauly Shore) through his site Plain Pictures when he isn't touring with HEALTH, making zines about chandeliers and piss or acting as shaman of underground music and culture through his warehouse in Denver, Rhinoceropolis. (He describes the space as an "anything goes experimental artcore weirdo scene.")

Egedy likes to throw mixes together too, such as his Transgender Mix sponsored by Dummy magazine in January. This new batch, which is up on Stereogum, spotlights some of those "artcore weirdos" tearing through Rhinoceropolis, including Tearist, Josephine And The Mouse People, Gauntlet Hair, and Hollagramz. Also included is a new song by Egedy himself that sounds every bit as trance-saturated and apocalyptic as his 2009 album Dark Rift.
