Here is perhaps the most highly bloggable Phoenix-related remix of all time: Deakin, he of Animal Collective (at least he was circa Strawberry Jam) has remixed Phoenix's soaring "Love Like a Sunset" as a part of Phoenix remix album due out as a part of a deluxe version of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix on Oct. 13. Deakin adds some tribal grooves and some heavy buzzing samples, burying Thomas Mars' vocals until they're ethereal as wisps of smoke. This thing actually ends up sounding kind of like an Animal Collective track, which is I suppose what people hope when remixes are released. [Pitchfork]
