"Lisztomania" (Video)

Average Rating: 5.00

"Lisztomania" is the excellent first single from Phoenix's tightly wound Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The song's fancy video, directed by Antoine Wagner, finds the French band hanging out before a concert, and then melting faces with the song's new wave live. The band played the song live on SNL a few weeks back, and it's still shocking that one, this kind of music organized through a Strokes-ian lens can sill amaze, and two, that the band can replicate this so effortlessly in a live setting.

Phoenix are striking out on a North American tour later this summer, starting at Bonnaroo. Here are the dates:

06.12 Manchester, TN: Bonnaroo
06.13 Chicago, IL: Park West
06.15 Toronto, ON: Phoenix Concert Theater
06.16 Montreal, Canada: Les Saints

06.19 NYC, NY: Terminal 5
06.21 Washington, D.C.: Rock and Roll Hotel
06.23 Minneapolis, MN: Varsity
06.25 Denver, CO: Bluebird
